Transfers

In the current competitive environment, increasing numbers of organisations are realising the benefits of transferring their certification requirements to a new partner.

Transfer from an accredited certification body (Management System Certification):

If your existing certificate includes the logo of an accreditation body such as INAB (Irish National Accreditation Board), UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) or ANAB (American National Accreditation Board), you can transfer to EQA (Ireland) without the need for a Stage 1 audit.

Transfer from a non-accredited certification body (Management System Certification):

If your existing certificate does not include the logo of an accreditation body, your certification body may be non-accredited. As non-accredited certification bodies are not regulated, their certificates may not be acceptable for the purposes of tenders etc. We would recommend that you immediately apply to an accredited certification body in order to receive an internationally recognised certificate.

Transfer from another PSA approved certification body (Product Certification):

If you currently have an IS 999, EN 50131 or SR 40 certificate with another Private Security Authority approved certification body, contact EQA before your next audit is due and the transfer can be completed with the minimum of disturbance. Transfer clients are treated the same as existing customers (e.g. for intruder alarm installers the minimum number of sites to be visited is 4 for new customers and 2 for existing and transfer customers).
